I know I'm Beautiful

So Zoe and I were in the car the other day and a song called "She don't know she's beautiful" came on the radio. Zoe listened to the song for a few seconds then said: "Beautiful, I know I'm beautiful." Yup no issues with confidence out of this one.

Watch me Daddy

Setting up her putt.

Celebrating her victory.

So I know a lot of kids like their parents to watch them do things, but this one is totally Zoe. I took Zoe to the little putting green next to our neighborhood pool to putt around a little. As you can see from the pictures above she got pretty good at putting the ball next to the hole and putting it in. She's very independent and did want any help, so I let her do it, and I went down to the other side and putted a few myself. After a few times of me missing the hole, she walked over and told me: "Daddy watch me, I'll show you how to do it."

A smile worth $20

This post could also have been titled how daddy is a sucker and is in big trouble for later down the road, but I like my current view right now better.

I think the conversation went something like this:

D: Daddy's hungry Zoe lets go get some Jack in the Box

Z: I want a Jack in the Box

D: Ok lets get in the car and get some

Z: Yeah I get a Jack in the Box

Z: Daddy, this is not a Jack in the Box, this is a sandwich

D: It's a Jack in the Box Sandwich

Z: I don't want a sandwich I want a jack in the box (enter Zoe sad face)

D: (Trying to play dumb) I don't understand, this is jack in the box

Z: Daddy, i want a toy jack in the box (More Zoe sad face)

D: I don't know what that is

Z: Daddy, you know you make it go round and round like this (doing the cranking motion of winding the jack in the box)

D: Do you have a jack in the box

Z: No but I really want one

D: Where did you learn about a jack in the box

Z: I play with one at preschool but I really really want a jack in the box, please Daddy, please may I have a jack in the box please

D: Ok, go get in the car we'll go to Target and get one

Z: Yeah I get a Jack in the Box

D: Zoe, Target doesn't have a Jack in the Box

Z: (More Zoe sad face) Please Daddy, I really want a Jack in the Box

D: Ok. We'll go look at Wal-Mart

Z: Yeah I get a Jack in the box

D: Zoe Wal-Mart doesn't have a Jack in the Box

Z: (More Zoe sad face) Please Daddy, I really want a Jack in the Box

D: (Calling Suzanne) Where can I find a Jack in the Box

S: She just wants lunch from Jack in the Box

D: I think we've made it perfectly clear that is not what she's wanting

S: Maybe try Toys R US

D: The closest Toys R US is 30 Mins drive away but I promised her a Jack in the box

Z: Yeah I love my Jack in the Box

So what do you think, A smile worth 20 bucks or Daddy's a Sucker

Fun family outing

This is not our first time at the children's museum, and she seems to have a really good time each time we go.

The first stop is always the balls through the suction tube.

She gets a lot of joy out of watching the balls.

Cheese with Mama.

And with Daddy.

This time she was much more interested in the science portion of the museum.

We didn't even make it to the tot spot, we were having so much fun with everything else.

Adventure through the obstacle course.

Fun in the tunnel.

Usually when we go the outside water area is so crowded you can't do much, but this time it was raining and we were the only one's who thought ahead and brought a raincoat and umbrella

No time to cheese mama, I'm having too much fun

Top the afternoon off with a brownie and it doesn't get much better than that!

Listening to the teachers.

Zoe did everything her teachers told her to do, and was very sweet about it!

Dancing across the floor.

Mama, this is so much fun!

Bluebonnet time again

Mama wanted a picture with Hazel and Zoe this year

We did get a little smile out of her

 Zoe walking Hazel around

The Washington County sign always has the best bluebonnets close to us

The best smile of the day (even though she was mostly behind the rocks)

Yeah we are almost done with the bluebonnets so we can go to Nana's house

Picture with Mama

Do I really have to sit here and take more pictures for you guys

One with daddy too
